Farmer’s Market Season Begins

The farmer’s markets are open!  I love farmer’s markets.  They give an opportunity for people with fresh, local foods to share those foods with others.  And though I generally go to farmer’s markets to sell our cheese, I rarely come home empty-handed.

Saturday I drove down to Springdale, at the mouth of Zion National Park, to sell cheese at their farmer’s market.  I returned home with less cheese, along with a bag of beets and onions, some fresh figs, and a home-baked chocolate chip cookie for Suellen.

On returning home, a friend informed me that the Cedar City farmer’s market (2232 North Main Street) also opened Saturday.  Had I known, we would have made arrangements to sell cheese there also!
