After much consideration, we’ve decided not to continue our on-line cheese store. The reason is simple: it costs too much for packaging, and we’re losing money.
Consider: We haven’t been able to find styrofoam shipping boxes for less than $9 each. Plus there’s gel packs to keep it cold, labels, etc. We charge our customers the actual cost of shipping, which is generally about $12. But would you pay $23 shipping and handling? Probably not.
Instead, we’ll focus on what we know, love, and believe in: local cheese for our local communities.
If you want cheese shipped from us, call or email us. If we can get it to you in 2 days or less by UPS Ground, we’ll try to work something out.
