Canning Resources

We had a lot of rain this summer, and that seems to have helped bring a great harvest to our area.  So we’e been canning tomato sauce; pickled cucumbers, squash, peppers, and okra; jams of plum, pear, and apple; and my favorite plum chutney.

We’ve also acquired an abundance of basil and sage.  While searching for information on dry canning, I stumbled across this great canning resource site.  It covers not only recipes, but technique and science – seemingly eerything one could possibly want to know!  If you’re canning this year, check it out.
